No doubt Pakistanis are the most generous people in the world, surprisingly without any Nobel peace prize. I would urge Dawn to publish more things like these. Khuda aap ko aasanyan ata furmae aur in ko taqseem karne ka shurff ata furmae (Baba Ashfaq Ahmad)

Outstanding work Pakistanis. Am I right in thinking this is a common occurance through mosques and indeed even in peoples homes. I have memories of my grandmother during Ramadan and afterwards, in Samundri, Punjab, having 6 or 7 huge pots on the go in which she'd cook rice and curries and then sweet sevia (?) that the entire village would be eating in our garden. I've never seen anything like it...

Some beautiful images here Hussain. Great job. I love the sepia tone. I would've left out a few of the earlier images of the floor as I think they're a bit redundant.

While, as a Canadian-Pakistani Muslim residing in Qujebec, I very much appreciate the generosity of the God-fearing religious and common peoples of Karachi, I wish that the target killings in Karachi also stop immediately and all the Karachiites , including the politicians, hug each other care for each other!

Those Pakistanis who can afford will have to be generous in this troubled time. We can't leave our brothers and sisters in need at the mercy of Government. Even if we can support one family, one person, one child preferably permanently or even one off that's better than doing nothing. Allah SubhantAllah will return it several times more in this world and much more in hereafter. And lets beg forgiveness from Allah SubhantAllah for our individual and collective sins so that this testing time gets over soon and we see the prosperity in our homeland, InshahAllah!!!

A moment of joy for all the Pakistanis that in such a difficult as these for Karachiites in particular and for the country in general, that there are some people who arrange iftaris for such a huge number of people for the whole of Ramazan.
This is the sight that is encouraging for all of us fighting with sectaranism that people from all scores/sections of life do benefited from such arrangement.
By this we can say that we have defeated the cause of our enemies who do endeavour to disband our country in small portions as Mr. Zulfiqar have unleashed on 27th of Ramazan in his news conference.
Salaam to all the Pakistani's.
