PESHAWAR, June 18: Lt-Col Syed Imran Haider, who was injured in an IED blast in North Waziristan Agency, died at the Combined Military Hospital here on Tuesday.

According to an ISPR press release, Lt-Col Imran was hit by an IED near Kam Sarobi in North Waziristan Agency on June 9, 2013, when he was supervising the movement of a military convoy in the area.

The officer had sustained multiple injuries in the blast and was evacuated to the Combined Military Hospital, Peshawar, where he succumbed to his injuries. —Bureau Report
