CNG supply

Published April 17, 2014

THE government recently announced that there would now be a continuous supply to CNG stations in Punjab, with a limited supply for six days from 10am to 4pm (Monday to Saturday) as a token of goodwill for the public.

Unfortunately, this planned activity, instead of providing consolation and ease, has become a source of disgrace for the people, sweltering on the roads, standing in queues waiting for their turn.

Moreover, alternate hours of electricity loadshedding have exacerbated that pathetic situation.

This thoughtless gesture is only propitious for commuters as policymakers did not consider the working or professional class which cannot endure to sacrifice their office work, roasting whole day under the boiling sun.

The policymakers should reconsider their planning in order to provide attainable comfort to the public. It would be commendable if timings are rescheduled, appropriately, in the evening.
