A little more attention

THIS is with reference to the short story “Ballpoint Pen” (YW, March 29, 2014). I have some complaints.

It was hilarious to see that the illustration in the story showed a shining moon in the sky while the writer mentioned the time as ‘2:56 pm and ‘3 pm’. The timing should have been kept in mind to avoid mistakes.

Then, the writer copied the name of the chocolate, ‘Fudge Mallow Delight’ from Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It’s a shame to copy the ideas of others.

I’ve been reading Young World for a long time now, and I’m sorry to say that it’s not living up to my expectations anymore. I hope the team makes more effort to bring back the old YW.

A hundred rupee note

THIS is regarding the story “A hundred rupee note” by Sherbano Tajammul, (YW, April 5, 2014). I liked the story very much and appreciate the YW team for publishing such useful and informative stories in which children can realise the importance of education.

The magic words

THIS is regarding the article “The magic words” by Yasmin Elahi (YW, April, 5, 2014). The article was very nice and I really liked it because the writer indicated about how we are forgetful about our attitude towards others, and how we should change it and act nicely towards others. We should always be polite and give respect to our parent, teachers, friends and all other relatives and people we interact with.

Mix and match

THIS is regarding the cover story “Mix and match” by Benazir Raz (YW, March 29, 2014). It was a really amazing two-page feature.

I was surprised to read about such incredible hybrid animals.

What we thought was impossible yesterday is now becoming possible with development in the science and technology.

I showed the pictures to my grandmother and she was amazed to see the liger.

It was indeed a very nice issue! Hats off to the YW team.
