NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz filed an application in the sessions court here on Thursday, requesting the court to register an FIR about the murder of party leaders against state agencies.

JSQM leader Zuhaib Qureshi, a nephew of late Bashir Khan Qureshi, submitted the application under Sections 22-A and 22-B CRPC, stating that the SHO of Bhiria Road town was not registering their FIR and recording statements, leaving them no other recourse but to seek remedy from the court over the extrajudicial killing of the party leaders. He said the SHO was duty bound to record statement of the complainant under Section 154 CRPC under the settled law when a cognisable offence occurred and requested the court to help register an FIR.
