NOWSHERA: The police recovered an abducted girl and arrested her alleged kidnappers during a raid at Risalpur here on Friday.

Police sources said the girl, 16, student of Fazaia Degree College, was kidnapped by unknown persons on February 2,

adding that her father, Fazal Ghani of PAF Academy, Risalpur had lodged case with the concerned police station. The sources said an informer told police that the kidnappers were present in Zendo Bada and were trying to change place. They added that a police party led by SP investigation Israr Bacha raided a house in the area and arrested the kidnappers and recovered the girl. The police also recovered the ransom amount, paid by the girl’s father to the accused, from the house.

SP investigation Israr Bacha told Dawn that the accused were part of a well-organised gang of kidnapers, and were also suspected to be involved in other crimes. He identified the main accused as Gul Said.
