ISLAMABAD: A Rawalpindi Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) ordered the registration of an FIR this Saturday, against a man seeking an un-registered vehicle under temporary custody, also known as ‘superdari’.

ADSJ Naveed Iqbal opened a request by Kabir Ismail seeking a Honda automobile, under ‘superdari’. The relevant vehicle was parked at a police station since several months, while its owner was under the custody of the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), facing a case in the court for drug trafficking.

However, during the verification by the excise and taxation office in Rawalpindi, the judge was informed that the vehicle’s registration book was bogus and that there was no record of the car with the excise office.

The officials also informed the court that the vehicle was not registered in Islamabad, as shown in the registration book. After this, ADSJ Iqbal ordered his reader, Ibrar Ameen, to file a complaint against Ismail with the Civil Lines police of Rawalpindi.

The judge has ordered the police to register a criminal case against Ismail and take legal action against him.
