BALOCHISTAN is, area-wise, the largest province. Despite this, it has been kept backward since the inception of Pakistan. In fact, the ruling elite of Balochistan are themselves responsible for the sense of deprivation among the Baloch.

The people are made to believe that the federal government is neglecting Balochistan. But I feel this is not the case. On April 8, I took my students of Lawrence College, Murree, to observe the session at the National Assembly.

During the session, it was disgusting to note that no MNA from Balochistan was present in the assembly. In this situation, how can the federal government be expected to understand the problems of Balochistan?

I am from Balochistan and that is why it is more painful to see how innocent people of the province are manipulated.
