HYDERABAD: The medical research centre of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, on Thursday opened to public the elastography machine, the first in the country’s any public sector health facility. It differentiates between patients with malignancy and non-malignancy and helps avoid the painful procedure of autopsy.
Patients of hepatitis and different forms of cancer can avail the facility to avoid biopsy procedure unless elastography examination confirms it.
