KARACHI: Vice Admiral Shafqat Jawed on Thursday took charge as 31st chairman of Karachi Port Trust.
He brings in vast experience of navy and marine operations. His career started when he was commissioned in the operations branch of the Pakistan Navy in June 1978.
He had taken professional courses including Naval Command Course (USA) and National Defence Course at NDU, says a release.
